OrangeWorld levelFirst report

The US-Israel war with Iran, now in its ninth month, is still pushing up what Americans pay: Brent ended October near $113 and AAA's national gas average is about $4.17. Tankers and a Qatari LNG carrier were hit near Hormuz Oct 29-30, and Qatari mediators are racing for a deal before the US decides on renewed strikes after the midterms. Russia's attacks on Ukraine's grid, an Ebola outbreak past 10,000 cases, and a wave of foreign advice to stock emergency supplies are all elevated.

Drops to Yellow if a Qatari-brokered deal reopens Hormuz and Brent falls back under $100Goes Red if US strikes resume and Iran retaliates against Gulf shipping or energy sites
